As the Nation celebrated its 67th independence anniversary, Asante Akim South Municipality also earmarked this all important day with a commemorative ceremony of their own.

The Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly held a beautiful inaugural ceremony in commencement of the 9th Assembly.

The Ghana Highway Authority together with Cocobod handed over works on the Asankare through Kurofa to Juansa road to the Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly.

The 39th Farmers' day celebrations which aimed at appreciating farmers for their commitment to providing the municipality with enough food was held at Saabo in Asante Akim South.
