The Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, has held sod-cutting ceremonies to commence three key infrastructure projects. Accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Works Engineer, and Planning Officer, the MCE handed over sites for a 2-unit KG block at Tanokrom, a 3-unit classroom block at Tokwai Odumasi, and a fully equipped CHPS compound with staff quarters and a mechanized borehole at Dwendwenase. The projects aim to substantially upgrade educational access and primary healthcare delivery across the farming communities.

The management of the Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, and the municipal School Feeding Desk Officer, has gracing a government-organized nutrition sensitization workshop for school feeding caterers. The training program focused on food hygiene, balanced diet preparation, and the use of local agricultural produce to enhance the nutritional value of meals served to public basic school pupils. The Municipal Chief Executive stressed the administration's commitment to ensuring strict quality control and safety standards across all beneficiary schools in the municipality.

The Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly distributed a wide range of commercial tools and startup capital to local Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to drive economic self-sufficiency. Under the direct supervision of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the assembly handed over asset packages including deep freezers, sewing machines, and hairdryers based on the trade skills of the recipients. The initiative forms part of the administration's broader commitment to ensuring inclusive economic development and reducing poverty at the grassroots level.

The Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly has successfully celebrated the 41st National Farmers’ Day under the theme “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future”. Led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the durbar honored several local farmers for their outstanding contributions to food security and the rural economy. The Overall Municipal Best Farmer took home a motorized tricycle alongside critical farming equipment, as the Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture and enhancing grassroots extension services.
